Privacy Policy
EXAPEAK Soft Solutions (the "Company") operates photoKam Showcase (the "Showcase") and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws. This Policy applies only to the Showcase.
Effective October 29, 2026 · Version 2026-11
Revised October 31, 2026 · Added sign-up and login with a Google account
01Personal information we collect
- When you sign up — username, password (stored in an irreversibly transformed form), email address (stored encrypted), nickname. Optional: bio, and whether you want to receive news emails.
- When you sign up or log in with Google — the account ID and email address that Google shares with us. Your name is used only to pre-fill the nickname on the sign-up screen and is not stored. We never receive your Google password.
- When you connect Radar — a device identifier, operating system type (Windows · macOS), Radar version, and the device name you set.
- When you upload photos — the photo; title, description and genre; shooting details (camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter, ISO, time taken); edit details (a summary of adjustment values); and the version of the Guidelines you agreed to and when. Radar leaves out the location (GPS) and the camera serial number before sending, and the server also removes all metadata from the photo before storing it.
- Community — comments, likes and report details. If you report without logging in, an irreversibly transformed value of your IP address is used only to check whether the same report has been filed more than once.
- Information generated automatically — login times, service usage records, cookies that keep you logged in, and visit statistics (IP addresses are stored with the last digits masked).
- Security records — if there are excessive requests in a short time, we record the IP address, time, the feature and address requested, and browser information to block abnormal access.
We do not collect resident registration numbers or sensitive information such as ideology, beliefs or health.
02How we use it
- Sign-up, email verification, and recovering your username and password
- Posting, reviewing and publishing photos, and explaining rejection reasons
- Running the full-version activation program — checking eligibility, checking the once-per-account and one-account-per-PC limits, and activation per device
- Preventing misuse, such as reusing the same photo under multiple usernames, and handling reports
- Announcements and, only if you have agreed, news about new features and events
03Retention period
- Member information, connected devices, photos, comments and likes: until you delete your account. When you delete your account, we delete them without delay (except for the items below).
- Showcase license records (device identifier, license number, license period): kept after account deletion for one year from the end of the license period to check the one-account-per-PC limit, then deleted automatically.
- Photos deleted by members and photos of members who have deleted their accounts: the photo files are deleted immediately, and only a fingerprint calculated from the photo content is kept so that the same photo cannot be uploaded again under another username. The fingerprint cannot be used to restore the photo or the member.
- Security records: deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Where applicable laws require retention, for the period those laws set.
04Public information · provision to third parties
The Showcase is a place to share photos, so the following can be seen by anyone: nickname, username (gallery address showcase.exapeaksoft.com/@username), bio, approved photos, the shooting and edit details the uploader chose to make public, and comments. Email addresses and device information are not made public.
The Company does not provide personal information to outside parties, except where required by law.
05Outsourcing of processing
We may entrust some tasks, such as server operation (cloud infrastructure) and sending email, to outside providers, and when we do, we set out what is needed to keep personal information safely managed. As a rule, data is stored in a region within Korea.
06Your rights
You can view, correct and delete your information at any time. In My account you can change your nickname, bio and password and disconnect devices; in My photos you can delete photos or change whether their shooting details and edit settings are public; and you can also delete your account. For any other request, send it through Contact and we will handle it without delay.
07Destruction
Personal information whose retention period has ended or whose purpose has been achieved is deleted in a way that cannot be recovered.
08How we keep it safe
- Passwords are stored in an irreversible form, and email addresses are stored encrypted.
- Original photos are kept outside public folders and are sent only after permissions are checked. Public pages never serve the originals.
- All communication is encrypted with HTTPS, and the admin console is protected with two-factor authentication.
09Cookies
We use only the cookies that are essential to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you block cookies in your browser, you cannot use features that require logging in.
