Terms of Use
These are the terms for using photoKam Showcase (the "Showcase"). Specific rules about photos are in the Guidelines.
Effective October 29, 2026 · Version 2026-11
Revised November 1, 2026 · Added sign-up with a Google account; clarified the one-year license terms (10 approved photos, 24 hours after the first upload, once per account, one PC, may end after notice)
01Purpose and operator
These Terms set out the conditions and procedures under which members use the Showcase operated by EXAPEAK Soft Solutions (the "Company"), and the rights and obligations of the Company and its members.
02Definitions
- Showcase — a service for uploading and viewing photos edited in photoKam Radar (Windows · macOS) and sharing comments on them
- Member — a person who has agreed to these Terms and signed up
- Photo — a photo a member uploaded from Radar to the Showcase, together with the title, description, shooting details and edit details uploaded with it
03Sign-up and accounts
- Sign-up is complete once you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy and finish email verification. If you sign up with a Google account, it is complete right away without email verification.
- Each account can get the one-year full version only once. The same photo is approved for only one account, and on one PC the Showcase full version is limited to one account per year.
- You may not sign up with someone else's information or use a nickname that impersonates someone.
04Username and password
Members are responsible for managing their username, password and connected devices. If you suspect someone else is using your account, change your password, disconnect your devices in My account, and then let us know.
05Photos and copyright
- Copyright in a photo belongs to the member who uploaded it. Members upload only photos they took and edited themselves.
- Members grant the Company a free license to use their photos to the extent needed to display them within the Showcase (resizing, reproduction, transmission and display). To use a photo for promotion outside the Showcase, the Company obtains separate consent.
- When a member deletes a photo or deletes their account, that photo is removed from the Showcase.
- The Showcase does not offer a way to download photos. You may not copy or distribute other members' photos without permission.
06Prohibited conduct
You may not upload photos that do not follow the Guidelines, post comments that harass or deceive others, post ads or spam, automatically scrape or disrupt the service, or use someone else's username.
07Review and removal
Uploaded photos are published after the Company reviews them. Photos that do not meet the Guidelines are rejected with a reason, and even after publication, a photo may be taken down if a report or a rights infringement is confirmed. You can see the reasons for rejection or removal in My photos and in your notifications.
08Full-version activation program
- When a member has 10 or more approved photos and at least 24 hours have passed since the first upload, the member can apply for one year of the photoKam Radar full version on one device. The Company approves it after review.
- While you keep 10 approved photos, the full version is extended automatically within a one-year limit. If your approved photos fall below the requirement, you have 14 days to restore them; otherwise extensions stop.
- If misuse is confirmed, such as posting someone else’s photos or AI-generated images, or creating accounts automatically, the activation may be revoked.
- The Company may change or end the program's conditions, and will announce this on the Showcase beforehand. Periods already granted remain in effect unless there is a reason for revocation.
09Restrictions and account deletion
If a member repeatedly violates these Terms or the Guidelines, the Company may suspend their use for a set period or terminate their membership, and will notify them of the reason and period. Members can delete their account at any time in My account.
10Limitation of liability
The Company is not liable for damages that do not result from its intent or negligence, such as natural disasters, a member's own fault, or disputes between members. Members are responsible for the photos and comments they post.
11Changes to these Terms
If the Company changes these Terms, it will announce the change on the Showcase starting 7 days before it takes effect (30 days before, if the change is unfavorable to members). If you do not agree to the changed Terms, you can delete your account. Each time you upload a photo from Radar, you agree to the version of the Terms in effect at that time.
12Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are resolved by the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
